William Frederick George Louis, Prince of Orange-Nassau, succeeds his father, King William I, as King William II of the Netherlands. Amongst other things, he took part in the Battle of Waterloo. William II became ill on March 13th 1849 and passed away on March 17th 1849 in Tilburg.
