Wall charts, history and European Identity

The picture shows a Germanic farmstead around the turn of the eras. A water ditch, a strong timber fence, a wide gate and a watchtower surround the building. The wooden houses with gable roofs are covered with straw and have very small windows. Some men carry in a bagged bear. The skulls of horses and cows on the big tree in the centre, at the fence and the gate are cultic items. You can further see a smith standing at a clay furnace.
